Clarity on Tuscon Case

Here is a vital link to the Tuscon bishop’s discription of the Teta and Trulia cases now going global.

In short, in the first case part went to CDF in 1992, but the case was tried locally and this took five years after which it was appealed.  The Trulia case was delayed by legal tatics of the priest who was a trined canonist.

In both cases the priests were suspended from ministry throughout the long years of trials and appeal.

No indication of stonewalling by Ratzinger and, once again, he is credited by those involved in getting things brought to a just conclusion.

Canon law simply does not allow a person to be convicted eithout due process.

    DUE PROCESS!?
It sounds and smells of manipulation.

Due process = “Son, you got 10 minutes to defend yourself then we hang you.” Oh yeah. No more Texas style.
